Erika Jonsson Six Park by Erika Jonsson

After Pauline Taylor and her husband Euan sold their family home to downsize, they found themselves with more money in the bank than they needed from day to day.

“I was moving it around, trying to find the highest honeymoon interest rates, but it really wasn’t doing very much,” Pauline recalls.

“I’d been thinking about Six Park for ages and just bit the bullet.”

Pauline, who works in events and governance for an association, had read stories about Six Park in the finance section of The Age.

While the couple have an investment property, Pauline also wanted to ensure they had some money that was easier to access in an emergency.

“You can’t just sell a room, but you also want your money doing more than sitting in the bank,” she says.

“Six Park has delivered us much better returns than we could get from bank interest rates. I wouldn’t know what to do with it otherwise, and I don’t want to think about it. I monitor it regularly but I don’t want to make those decisions.”

An affordable and easy solution

Pauline also wanted a way to invest that was affordable and straightforward.

“I had never owned shares apart from a small amount prior to a big crash a long time ago that caused me to lose that investment,” Pauline says.

“I do like to understand my money and what I’m doing and that’s why I’ve chosen to do it this way.”

Pauline has been investing with Six Park since 2018, experiencing a couple of periods of volatility during that time.

“It’s had some ups and downs – that’s how it goes – but I’m very confident in the service. The results have still been amazing and I’ve been really happy – I’ve had no issues at all.”

Pauline and her husband both grew up in Geelong, moving to Melbourne after finishing school. They enjoy playing tennis, riding their bikes and catching up with friends when they’re able to do so.

They also love travelling and have spent a lot of time in Asia, where Penang and Laos are some of their favourite locations.

“We’re looking forward to travelling again when we can,” she says.
